Rays holds the Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) qualification.The programme provides technicians with training in child passenger safety education, car seat checks and guidance on the correct use of child restraints and seat belts.The certification programme is administered by Safe Kids Worldwide, which serves as the certifying body. The National Child Passenger Safety Board provides recommendations and guidance to the programme.

Is the car seat check free?
Yes, if you bought your car seat from Brother Bear. For seats bought elsewhere, the fee is RM30.
Can I bring a car seat I already own?
Yes. Message our Penang or Kulim outlet to arrange a time.
Do I need to bring my car?
Yes, please. Checking the seat in your actual car is the only way to confirm the fit.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome, subject to the availability of our trained team member. We recommend booking by WhatsApp to make sure someone is ready for you.
How long does it take?
About 30 minutes.
Can you help me choose a car seat for my newborn?
Yes. We recommend seats based on your baby’s size, your car and your needs.
Which car seats and cars can you check?
Chicco, Nuna, Recaro, Cybex, Joie, GB, Quinton, Crolla and etc. We can check most cars, and we’ll tell you if a particular combination isn’t suitable.
Which outlet should I go to?
Penang parents: Brother Bear Baby Penang. Kulim and nearby Kedah parents: Brother Bear Baby Kulim. Both offer the service.
Do both the Penang and Kulim outlets have a COSA- or CPST-trained team member?
Yes. Both outlet have COSA-trained team members. For a session with our CPST-certified technican, please book an appointment by WhatsApp.
